Pivo is here, but don’t forget your AMK student card either!

Since June, Pivo digital student card has been available for HAMKO members. If you want to start using Pivo, read this blogpost to get started.

Even though student card in your phone is handy, it’s good to remember that the “traditional” plastic student card isn’t going anywhere! We still order automatically AMK student card for all new HAMKO members and old members can renew their card’s academic year sticker.

It’s good to remember that AMK student card has other useful features in addition to the academic year sticker.

Access ability: If you activate access ability to your AMK student card, you can use it as your key to HAMK campuses. Access ability stays valid through your studies at HAMK even though you don’t renew your card’s academic year sticker. Also, your pin-code remains the same unless you change it yourself.

Library card: You can use the AMK student card as your library card in all HAMK libraries. To do this, please visit HAMK library customer service to attach library services to your student card. If you have both access ability and HAMK library card, you can use self-service library outside library’s opening hours.

Because of these useful features, it is a good idea to keep your student card on the go. And when you have the card with you, it is convenient to update it with a new academic year sticker. It doesn’t matter if you have started using Pivo, you still get the sticker on your card!

You can get the new sticker from any HAMK campus. Just remember to take your student card with you.

• Valkeakoski: HAVO ry. In addition, HAMKO will have a "pop up member service" on Valkeakoski campus on two Friday afternoons during September: First one is on 6 September from 2 pm to 5.30 pm and the other one 27 September from 12 noon to 5.30 pm.

If you haven’t paid your membership fee yet, you can do it when picking up the new sticker (card payments only, except at HAMKO's office where you can pay with cash, too) or in advance online.
